But because we can cash flow we feel it makes more sense currently to keep the property and sell within the next three years should we choose to do that and we'll still be able to avoid the capital gains and maybe even see more appreciation.We live in Portland, ME and we've been seeing steady growth in rental prices as well as continued appreciation for single family homes.

We just got back from visiting the area and have decided that we want to buy in Bradenton, FL since that area seems to fit us best and our future needs while also still being within our current price range (<$450k).I have already listened and watched many BP webinars and podcasts and am about to purchase David’s book, start with strategy since I feel that’s the best next step for me and my husband to get our plan onto paper and to solidify our thoughts together (all while still saving money of course!).
