My partner is much more of a high-assertive manager-type and does much better dealing with game-players like you have, and will tell them what's going to happen in no-uncertain terms.

You know, I hear about these $100/door deals a lot and I always think "wow, I would not be bothered, I would rather invest my money in an index fund". 

I won’t bother thoes unless it is killer deal.

For a high-earning couple such as yourselves, you don't want to waste time with small properties and probably don't even want to bother with the effort of looking for deals yourselves.
