Since im just a few months into my REI career I'm not 100% on the exact direction I'd like to take.

Federally employed as a mechanic (been a wrench my entire career). 

why don't you spend less than a thousand dollars and get your RE license that is a career you can spend a lifetime at and if your any good you will make good to big money and for the rest of your life... wholesaling has a very short shelf life and is as you discovered much much tougher than one might think.  

I am looking for recommendations on cabinetry suppliers, contractors and other resources suitable for an affordably priced "starter" or family home for this region.Thank you.

While I enjoy the real estate reality genre, nothing in a my landlording career would interest a  reality TV producer (no drama, by design).

What I am really looking for is a career that will expand my existing knowledge of real estate investing.
