You should do some research just looking around airbnb and other short term rental sights to see what other folks are renting their spaces for to get an initial idea of the numbers!

I advise, learn all you can, but knowing actually comes from doing and also note, in every country like Spain though the principles of RE investing remain the same, you will have to take your time to learn local laws, culture, habits, discussions etc, that goes to help too.
