Complete renovation and modern design What was the outcome?

I went to school for physics and computer science, then did what most do.... got into a field that was as far from my education as possible. 

About two hours from Cambutal are Chitre and Las Tablas, the two closest major towns to get most modern comforts (McDonalds, big grocery stores, health food stores, etc).

It isn't rocket science, and doesn't need to be made overly complicated to work well.

Get a stainless one if you don't already have it so it matches the stove.Add a dishwasher - also stainless to match.Consider demoing and replacing the tile backsplash to something more modern.

@Alexander Fernandez, they're both a bit more art than science.

I prefer shaker style but they have several modern styles to pick from.

We will be raising rents to market value and improving the units to a more modern look.

You can either update it more, stage it with modern furniture (remove family photos, knick knacks) or drop the price.
