What is a good color for the shutters and front door.

And since we are learning about construction, being able to go after work and measure cabinets for the 4th time, or compare the tile to the grout, or pick up supplies so your expensive contractor doesn't have to waste his time picking out paint colors, flooring, appliance etc... are all things that are easier to do in person.If you have a lot of experience flipping houses, or working construction,  then yes go for it, you can be successful as a long distance landlord.

My agent/Property Mgr told me that all of Detroit has restrictions on house COLORS?

The media can make things very dark and negative .

Was it the ink color?

Also found that they replaced area vinyl under at kitchen table with a completely different style and color of vinyl...looked horrible and I ended up redoing the whole unit. 

If so, your lenders have done a great job at keeping you all in the dark about what they can do to help your buyers!
