One possible arrangement might be for them to serve as the trustee for a land trust with the minor as the beneficiary.Honestly, though, I'd recommend you spend these remaining months getting as well-trained and knowlegeable as possible in your chosen real estate specialty, and then hit the ground running the minute you turn 18 (assuming you don't live in Alabama, Nebraska, or Mississippi)!

You could invest that in multifamily now via a syndication (I have someone I can connect you with)...and do absolutely nothing and make a nice return on it...Or you can go out and find your own single family deals, renovate them, and end up with a much better return (but more work).I live in CO and buy houses in the southeast.

I personally think Northeast, East and Southeast Austin have some big growth ahead over the next decade as they have only a few new construction neighborhoods today, but not much in terms of A or B class commercial yet (HEB, Home Depot, Walmart, restaurants, etc).
