Wait a year and see where rents are or rather how much rents increase.We have the same thing happening in Canada in terms of rent increases though some provinces have caps. 

Compared to other provinces in Canada, my province is relatively landlord friendly.

Id have thought location of mortgage broker, insurance broker, accountant and lawyer were not all that important so long as they were licensed for the province?  

I am not super stoked about the idea of owning an out of province rental (to a non family member) but am not ruling it out. 

Definitely within the expertise of a Canadian licensed CPA in the province where you file income taxes.

But in Belgium you really don't want to start an LLC or anything for your real estate, but just buy it in your own name, which is much more profitable.No Antwerp is just the area I am familiar with :) I really need to know for what prices houses are selling and renting out in the area to quickly recognize a good deal, so that's why I stick to the Antwerp province.

My properties are scattered across the province & are mainly commercial, but I do have a number of Residential units including some Airbnbs in The Valley.
