I prefer cooler grays, and have used all of the colors on the Passive Gray strip from Sherwin Williams.Passive can look almost white in a brightly lit room, so I've been doing more Argos and Gray Matters lately.

If, as can often be the case with Turnkey providers, the renovation will complete around the time of closing, you want to make sure they buy the extended warranty for anything that could break, i.e. appliances, anything electrical, heaters, coolers, etc.

Not sure but it seems possible that the solar panels will shade the roof and make thehouse cooler in the summer by reducing the attic temps.

I'm starting to pay the mortgage as of today, so every month that goes by without any cash flow...well you get the picture.Hoping cooler heads prevail -- I welcome all opinions!

We do that in CA to keep the garage cooler in the summer.

We have mountains surrounding the valley where there's pine forest and streams, and then here in the valley, it's warmer but we're at around 1,600 meters, so cooler than other places and not so many bugs (we do have them though!) 

All new windows (some larger, some removed), new floors and paint, removing a few walls that aren't structural, two net baths, making a basement into a room, closing off another room by extending the floor a little and adding a very small piece of wall, adding a swamp cooler, new water heater, vapor barrier, replacing kitchen cabinets, adding tub in one of the bathrooms, moving toilet bowls a little, adding a larger deck, etc etc

It's cooler here than in the desert areas, plus there's four seasons.

I don't like having these men in and our of our house every week just to repair stuff that's going to be broken again later on because they don't know what they're doing.Examples of things that need to be fixed: Front door is falling off the hinges (it's already been fixed once after over a month of us asking for it to be fixed), the swamp cooler smells like mold and we requested the filter be changed, refrigerator door has about a quarter inch gap in the door and is leaking cold air, we can't use the fan in the enclosed porch because it's off balance and we've already had the glass light cover fall off and shatter on the floor right in front of me, and kitchen sink disposal rattles the entire counter when it's turned on.
