That's interesting criteria: Must be on the path to homeownership within 2 years, or I won't rent to you.Kind of biting the hand that feeds you, don't you think?  

The point she was making, was that by breaking a court approved repayment plan was contempt of court, and contempt of court is not about failing to pay a debt, but going against the will of a court which is far more serious.Now, whether she had done it, or was feeding us all a line of BS, I don't know.

The only way that plant is growing is from a soil and water source feeding it.

James Stevens I appreciate the feed back I didn't know that much about it honestly. so you would have to go the route of the deep clean and the new paint and all that good stuff huh?

She had a great job on paper and the landlord gave some good feed back. so we didn't even pursue the background and criminal records. =(  at this point family is the priority and I DEF learned the lesson!

They are cheap.Ryan:I am a firm proponent of everyone should be accountable for themselves and agree that separate metering is the preferred way to handle utilities.However, I also know from experience it is not always possible (not all jurisdictions permit sub-metering) or feasible (ie. it may be cost prohibitive to separate water feeds to each unit or replace or replace a common boiler) to separate utilities.

@Chan S. my lease reads like this for early termination: Resident may terminate this agreement by doing all of the following: a) Giving Management sixty (60) days written notice, b) Paying all monies due through date of termination, c) Paying an amount equal to the Security Deposit as an Early Termination Fee, d) Returning dwelling in a clean, ready-to-rent condition, and e) Paying a pro-rated portion of expenses for repainting and cleaning based on the ratio of the number of months then remaining in the initial term to the number of months originally in the initial term.
