I don't know much about Cook County, but I have heard horror stories of how anti-landlord that particular county is.As to the taxes, well yes they are quite brutal and generally you'll average between 2-3 months per year in rental income to pay the tax man.

My mom was sitting on the toilet this morning when this happened and it came through the ceiling on her.Lastly, the smoke detector didn't go off once when i was cooking. 

I also can cook and clean and a very detail oriented person.

For example, on a typical persons budget, the biggest cost expenditures are housing, transportation, and food. 

Just some food for thought, for all I know it could be an awesome property.

I read every book I could get my hands on and listened to the BP Podcast constantly while on the train, driving, cooking, etc.
