vacation property caretaker
I am interested in a caretaking position on a 5 acre oceanfront property. They have a small 500 square foot studio residence that they to rent for $1000 for the caretaker. There is a potential for reduced rent for some work on the property. Looking at the vacation rental, I see a lot of room for improvement on the grounds and house. I am a professional landscaper as well as a person that can do most repairs myself. I also can cook and clean and a very detail oriented person. I feel I can offer a lot more in the way of facilitating guest arrival and departure and potentially setting up picnics, tours, reservations for restaurants, ect. Do deep cleaning, panting, refinish the deck, ect. Basically taking on the majority of work running and caring for the property on more of a full time basis. Letting the owners have more freedom and they can concentrate on renting the property. I feel as though my contributions could really benefit guest returns as well as draw in potential guests. How would you put a value on that work in your opinion? I am retired woman at 50, but still very capable of doing large heavy jobs on my own, I also own all my own professional tools. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
