Tax assessments are meaningless, and -- as in this case -- are not necessarily representative of the value of the house.If the house is listed publicly and has dropped to $25K, then at most it is worth $25K.

very easy  simply subscribe to the legal publication in your county all foreclosures must be published. clip them out and make a big scrap book.. that's how we did in in the dark ages.if you know how to use a computer and a spread sheet you can take the salient information and put it in an excel spread sheet..

@Sam ValmeWe prefer that the owners do not use a Home Warranty Company to make repairs at their rental property.There is a HUGE problem in the home warranty industry and the public is becoming savvy to it.Try searching Google with the name of your favorite home warranty company and the word `complaints' or `fraud'.

I try and read at least 1 business book and 1 Real Estate book a month.Philadelphia also has some very useful online tools to access public records.I love the house hacking strategy, and think it can be easily applied in the city with a good lender.
