Always keep some liquidity and I would never invest out of town unless I either had someone with boots on the ground OR I could use my credit card to fund the investment, get the charge back protection for issues and then pay the card with my cash.

I would personally deploy the savings account funds first and then liquidate and use the stock funds assuming those are making better returns currently than the savings account funds.When I say risk tolerance, depending on your knowledge and experience, stocks may be riskier than RE investments.
