Usually my realtor handles all the leases but I’d rather just have him sign a single page extension showing the changes.Would this be a legally binding contract writing it myself?

I am in California by the way if anyone happens to know if the laws are different here.A second question is this: if a loan becomes due and the borrower is not ready to pay, but would like an extension, is there a recommended process for how to proceed (as opposed to foreclosure)?

I have submitted extension to my due diligence while we figure this out.I also happened to bump into one of the tenants when I was leaving and she menitoned having to share a mailbox with one of the other units. 

We have done extensive research, studying, networking and are interested in rehab/sell and buy and hold properties.

Hi BP, I recently learned about a CEMA (Consolidation, Extension, and Modification Agreement), and from what i understand it is specific to New York State.

I have more research to do and some other more pressing things to tackle first, but will then do some more extensive research about my options.  

If you are considering a property that is in need of extensive repairs, you will need more time to complete that work than if you are buying a house that only needs cosmetic updates.

He sent them over but I was confused since this seemed to be a new contract. we extended the previous contract adding a three month extension.
