If I do open them, they just have scam conotations to me, since I know they're not really giving me a check.

Is this a scam or do investors in that area do this often?

I thought this was just spam or someone trying to scam me so I just kept throwing the letters away.

I know many of them have scam written all over them, but I was curious as to if there are any legitimate and would be recommended here at biggerpockets.Thanks in advance for the advice.

Just makes me feel powerless...cause if I was building a hotel complex in Spain, I would easily get millions of euros...but when I'm trying to make some profit for myself, and ready to share some of that with the loan giver, I'm just left with nothing :P Well...I'm not giving up that easily....maybe I will one day find something else than just idiotic Nigerian scams :P lol

Ultimately I like the buy and hold idea and would like to have a commercial property or a smaller apartment complex.I came to BiggerPockets after doing a search for Phil Pustejovsky to see if his mentorship program is a scam or not... and after reading the posts here I will not be signing up for the program.
