It's nice to have the cashflow, but also know I could liquidate the note for cash if I needed/wanted to.

It is a very nice home, outside is well kept and in a great neighborhood; the only other problem is that there is no access to get in and check out the inside.

Then when they tell you what they want, you tell them what youcan do...and if there is a meeting of the minds you'll end up doingthe deal.In all fairness, the one who does the work should get a nice reward.

There are a few house that I have driven by and a really nice houses.

They pay great for a while then start falling short or off all together.Anyway I own my house I live in now and sold the 2 fam got a nice piece of change from it too.

Worst of all, I think, is that my children aren't in line to inherit a slice of property, but instead a financial weight.

Some other things to consider:- A HELOC can be nice for covering SHORT TERM emergency repairs if you need that security.
