Hey Guys,I've been lurking on the forums for a month or so and thought it was time to do my intro.My name is John McAuley and I live in the greater Raleigh/Durham area (specifically Oxford, about 30 minutes north). 

I neither have the time nor inclination to spend very much of my time engaged on this or any other forum so often what I post is a short version of what I share with clients and customers.

I thought that was the tax amount if you sold in less than 1 year after purchase.I will ask a CPA to be sure.Thanks,

Instead of using my money to buy another home I thought about putting it in to an investment instead.  

Any thoughts on how this process usually works.

I know some will see the numbers and be tempted to respond, but please read my thoughts before you do.  

Hello,Just curious what you all thought about the idea of using a loan from your 401(k) to finance the purchase and rehab of a 1st property.My plan would be to use 40-50k to purchase a small rental apartment, fix it up, and then refinance the property to pay back the 401(k) loan.Any downsides to this?
