If they are heavily against this transaction then they're not the right fit for this strategy and they should look into purchasing outright on their own or just simply renting.If you're looking to do this strategy in Texas you're not going to be able to, like Brian pointed out.

That said, a Checkbook IRA LLC is a great tool, and you should speak with someone knowledgeable about these plans to help you determine which will be the better fit for your situation and goals.Fidelity and all of the mainstream brokerages offer Solo 401(k) plans, but those plans will be limited to stock market investing and not self-directed with the capacity to invest in real estate.There are several providers such as Accuplan that offer truly self-directed Solo 401(k) plans.

PM's choose vendors based on many factors and most don't fit the bill.No doubt insurance is important but I've yet to meet an owner who actually understood what a PM's insurance does and what questions they should be asking regarding insurance.
