Recording fees and other costs are based on where the house is. 

@George ChungDepends on number of factors such as how good are your financial records (balance sheet, income statement), how many state returns there are, just to name a couple of the factors in play.

@Kyle Root you can check with the local county (Outagamie, Winnebago, Brown, etc) and see if they keep any kind of record for out of state owners.

When I tried to call them I got a recording saying that due to high call volume they are unable to take my call at this time, try again later.

Foreclosure case was filed in court (Ohio) 3 months ago, mortgagors (husband and wife) have transferred ownership to me (an individual) via a quitclaim deed earlier this week and it should be recorded with the county in a couple of days.

As to sales, prices set a new record in March and time to sell decreased.

Nothing to do with made up hysteria , everything to do with saving me tome and record keeping 

And by "common", I mean at least every other home differs from county records - and yes, mostly from illegal additions.
