Legal defense after interest transfer via Quitclaim deed
Foreclosure case was filed in court (Ohio) 3 months ago, mortgagors (husband and wife) have transferred ownership to me (an individual) via a quitclaim deed earlier this week and it should be recorded with the county in a couple of days. How do I notify court/lender of the transfer?
I would like to get to a point where I can negotiate a reasonable payoff amount with the lender, settle the case and own the property free and clear.

@Mo Elshall This is referred to as “urinating into the breeze”. The only “discounted payoff” they would have considered would be a short sale from, and involving, the original borrower....a short sale is not possible now.
This will go to auction without any discussions with you. The lender/courts have no obligation to you. If you aren’t willing to pay the full pay off amount, you can take your chances at the auction.
