I would love to hear from you all: 1) any advice about house hacking, generally; 2) if anyone eventually BRRRR’d their first house hack and what that process was like; 3) any insight to the Connecticut market (Cromwell, New Haven, Bridgeport and surrounding areas, also id love to connect with anyone in the area!)

This was an off-market deal, my team and I move roughly 40-50 properties a month ranging from SFH, multis, and lots throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.

Side note, best time to buy for your line of work is when you get on a consistent show.Second, FHA has a 3.5% down payment minimum but in a sellers market, FHA is very difficult to close due to the red tape that surrounds that program.

Worth and surrounding communities I can recommend for great rental properties.

I really hadn't considered many properties outside of the 465 loop since I'm much more familiar with the city itself than the surrounding suburbs.

The houses in the surrounding area are all going for $500k+ but this is the only one on the major road, the rest are in the adjacent neighborhood.

The tenant, an elderly woman, lit a fire in the fireplace (14 hours) and it started a fire in the house burning all surrounding areas.

The Villages have pretty much surrounded us and actually have built a recreation park along one side of our property, another side is lake front.

My other concern is that the property is 150 years old and I'd be expanding to an area where my main bank does not do business in; The town has 5,000 people and surrounding areas with 40,000 people so I wanted to get a feel and see what the BP community had experienced in this situation.  

I’d love to ask questions and gain some more insight on the market and learn the do’s & don’t’s when buying my first 2-family home.I’m currently looking at middlesex county, monmouth county, mercer county and have at times looked at areas like North Newark, Kearny, etc, but my ideal location is middlesex county and a radius of 15 miles surrounding it.Reach out, i’d love to chat with everyone!
