@Vince FutiaDepending on the type of building you have, and local laws, you can look into doing data/telecommunications antenna lease to a communications company, since bandwidth is needed more and more. 

I'm currently a 20 year career firefighter in the Sacramento area and hold the rank as Captain/paramedic.

So what most people see is a job that will pay them well until they retire in 30 years, I see a job that will jump start my career in real estate and get me out of the 9-5 cycle that so many of us seem to be stuck in.

This has been my career for the last 17 years; however it's not my passion by any means.Almost a year ago I noticed a suggested post on Facebook and I wound up attending a Fortune Builders seminar. 

I've had aspirations to pursue a career in real estate and real estate investments, but never discovered a way to start.

Now that I have launched another career, as a real estate agent, I would like to buy and hold my investments with an occasional sell deal.

I think it's just people attracted to that neighborhood are more in transition, move for career (first one), have another child (second one).

If you are a full time agent earning your income that way in, and you chose that career solely to help your real estate investing, I think you are fooling yourself.

I am employed full time as a professional tractor trailer driver, but due to health issues I am not going to be able to continue my career much longer because of the physical demands of my work.

What I have learned in my RE career is that you need at least one of the following 3 things to be successful in real estate investing:  The money, the deal or the experience.The Money - If you have cash you can invest with people who have deals or maybe buy one from a wholesaler.
