You would also want to look at how much those homes near by on the 1 acre lots cost because you dont want to be overpaying for the land itself...Does this area require you to construct roads etc....Lots of questions with deals of large areas for development but then again also large profit available.

I am interested in looking out of state in the near by states (Nevada and Arizona) as they are still drivable, minimizing travel costs but lower priced than many of the areas of Southern California.

Most of the nearby properties people use window units, as there is no existing ductwork so it makes it much more complicated for central A/C.
