Lets say I want to house hack a 4 plex and I get approved for a 3.5 percent down payment but I don't have the money for the down payment, is there any way I can get creative to give the down payment without my own out of pocket money?

You could try to get your parents to co-sign or try to look for creative opportunities off market, but thats another story,I think you should continue to focus on education and getting your financing in position.

I love being a mortgage broker, and have learned a lot about lending, creative strategies, and made great connections.I also didn’t have a background in “finance” but did enjoy the underwriting process I do when analyzing my own properties for my portfolio.In my opinion making the switch was a lot easier then some may think, definitely a career worth considering!
