I would choose a 2nd or 3rd tier city or suburb just outside a 1st tier city (but not the boonies), which has some of the same desirable features as a 1st tier city but isn't yet teaming with investors.

What are the pros and cons of choosing one over the other ?

I personally favor equity, because I can be approved for a line of credit at any time, and simply not tap it for an extended period of time, and have it readily available to me should I choose to use it.

By choosing to enter the country illegally, they have already set themselves outside the law.With that said, most of the Hispanic immigrants I've encountered - legal and illegal - have a distrust of the banks, officials, etc.  

Also, I may consider some type of video security system.

I am here to learn everything that there is to learn about real estate  roi and common sense logic when choosing an investment.

There are plenty to choose from.
