They were getting in from the back unlocked window.If you do invest there, I'd recommend doing only the necessary to maximize your Section 8 rents.

We've been trying to add our rental unit listing on zillow, but every time we go to see the published ad on zillow, the listing has changed from a 1 bedroom into 2 bedroom condo, the square footage is wrong, data is wrong and there are photos that are not from our unit.

We are notified when doors are left unlocked and get instant feedback from the prospect.

I'm a few hours south of you.I second the advice to listen to the podcasts and add a profile photo.  

Ask them to go by the property and snap some photos and email them to you.Before purchasing one of these understand the rental demand.  

Jared, agree that you cannot unlock a door without receiving word from them that they have moved out, establishing that they have abandoned the place, or with a court order.
