Trying to figure out the “real” cost of installing a new central AC unit and replace existing old furnace.This is in San Jose, CAHome is 1600 sq ft - 2 story Got quotes that range from 8.5k to 15kI guess the need is a 3.5 ton compressor and a 2 stage energy efficient furnace.

While putting an actual number to that question is quite difficult, I do know that owning it and being in another country (regardless of good management or not) is going to take some energy and effort.Best of luck in the decision!

Can anyone recommend some really strong GCs in St Louis that are reliable and deliver a good end product.

Unless the loan officer is a hack I would highly recommend staying loyal to the person who has lent his time and energy. 

I stated in a previous duplicate post that it's a house hack & I'm confident in my decision regarding the cash flow from the AirBnB market and have acquired enough data to know it's reliable.

choosing a good reliable lender is critical .. they are not all the same. 

If it is reliability,  it is tough to beat electric baseboards.
