You may also have luck going directly to the property knocking on some of the safer looking doors and asking who they pay rent to.Put together a contract to buy the property for a low price because the way you describe it the current owner will probably be happy to be rid of it.

We've done a couple of marketing strategies such as magnetic bandit signs on our cars, direct mail to N.O.D's, and soon we will begin a door knocking / door hanger campaign to follow up our direct mail to N.O.D's.

Let's just say that even with all wheel drive, I get a running start.3 days after we moved in (February 28), we had a major wind storm that knocked a neighbor's tree over and took out our power lines.
