As a painting contractor I have done extensive work with fire, and water damage, animal/human feces, Kilz is the only thing that works, and that is approved by insurance companies, just remember to reseal any corners or edges that are cut or broken after sealing.

At this time I'm just kind of gathering info trying to determine the best plan of attack, its crazy out here right now prices keep dropping, I would'nt even think of investing out here right now no end in sight, so just trying to determine if something out of state is in option or just be patient and raise funds.The painting biz is pretty good right now, for me at least, but just about everyone else is getting killed, lots of contractors with no work, some for months now, to bad a lot of good guys.

Anyone here use it.I had actually never heard of the program until a realtor mentioned it this weekend.They allow up to 35k in renovations to be wrapped into the loan if the ARV shows that the contractors work will improve the value of the home by that much or more.This seems like a great opp to get renovation money without paying to much out of pocket.

Mask off the tub before the quote so the contractor sees he only has to paint.
