Within our smallest budget yet we added square footage to the basement, a big third bedroom in the attic and loads of goodies in the kitchen including a custom island we built and quartz countertops we cut!

Are there any stairwell/fire codes for building a room/ above a garage in a SOG side by side condominium, if i were to put a stairwell inside of the living space, entering off of a landing above the garage where the opening of a bedroom or office would be?

Then there's emergency egress and light/air requirements for bedroom/living spaces.

Wondering in the KC real estate market if anybody has experience with returns on updates such as -Adding a Privacy fence backyard-Adding an additional bedroom-Adding a half bath-Finishing a basement with carpet and new walls and ceiling The home is currently a 3 bedroom, 2 bath SFH about 1300 sq ft. 

So what I have done on SFR, is duplexed  first floor into basement to add bedrooms to houses, you 2 to 4 beds to add value.

Since this property is two one bedroom units, the turnover rate is quite high.

The rent is $1000/month for a 3 (small) bedroom & 2 bath home; tenant pays all utilities.

Even still they are buying lousy condos in the least desirable neighborhoods to even get those numbers. 

We along with other building-mates were forced to move into new office space several years ago and we considered office condos.

I bought a condo 6 months ago, when I thought I would stay single.
