In my state, the rules for a home for Section 8 are quite strict compared to those for SSI which makes SSI tenants favorable.

It's not me who is going to pay final price anyway.Bigger problem that I'm kind of expecting is working on tight spreads, very strict rehab rules (=high standard = high rehab cost) and difficulty of finding motivated sellers.

I see apartments all around me being rented on AirBnB for ~$300-$400 per night, and I now question being in a place with such a strict policy around no sublets, making it all the more apparent that my money is going out the door each month.So here are my general goals:Own properties that can earn revenue (rental, AirBnB).Buy land in Baja Mexico to build a home for vacation, rental, retirement.Learn more about flipping properties and houses to see if it is something I'd ever be interested in doing.Before making any decisions, I want to become more educated since I don't really know much about real estate, or what I can do in my situation.

The best thing about the property is that it is in a nice blue collar neighborhood with great schools, great parks, a safe community, and a very strict code enforcement department to keep the town looking as clean as possible.

The only issue you might run into is the appraisal which can be more strict when the VA comes into play.
