My goal is to buy 10~20 or more rentals in 5 years for my retirement. 

I want to have financial freedom and be able to take care of my parents in their retirement. 

My end goals are to amass enough rental properties that cash flow to retire from my 9-5 and support my family through retirement within the next 10 years. 

I think I should treat it like my retirement . 

Is it to own a few SFH, pay them off and enjoy cash flow into retirement? 

We've been on the rental side, but since I retired from my day-job recently (after 35 years) ... we are considering using some flipping as a way to generate money for more rentals. 

We’ve just passed the one year ownership mark, so I wanted to use this milestone occasion to update the BP community on our progress with the 18-unit package of condos that we purchased from a retiring landlord.First, a little background.

I am also active duty military & my goals are to be able to build sustainable income over the next 5-10 yrs to allow me to enjoy military retirement and have more time with my family.  

I plan to retire from my full-time job as a college professor/administrator in 2017.  

We are buy and hold investors with the long term goal of retiring early in 15 years in our mid 40's.
