It's really frustrating for me because I already quit my jobs and I just want to get out of here and re-establish elsewhere.

The area in that zip code can vary a lot though  Well, I have this policy for 6 months... after that I will do a better job of shopping around.

If you hire a company to do the job make sure they have their own liability insurance for the type of work they do.

Why not have others manage it, especially when you have a W-2 job. 

Hi,I'm new to real estate investing with a day job in tech (surprise, surprise living in the Bay Area).

My real estate tech startup Clever, based in downtown STL, is a licensed brokerage, and everyone on the team had to become licensed agents -- but given that our full-time jobs are at a startup, none of us are "realtors" in the traditional sense. 

I work in tech and have a great job but want to move into passion areas (writing fiction), hence the desire to build passive income. 

My income from my job should allow me to make payments on it if I do not have enough saved up from the rent. 

It is a very active job that takes a decent amount of work and time.What areas are you able to afford (for flipping you really should be working in or around the city you live in to start out)?
