I also started listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast and about 13 episodes into that so plenty more to learn.I currently do own one investment property but that was starter home turned investment so this would be my first purchase that was intended for investing.I don't really know much about the rehabbing side of real estate and purchasing a home that needs some work is going to yield me a better deal but I'm really trying to get my foot in the door with one unit before adding additional challenges.

Long story short, my father-in-law ended up using our cash for the down payment, and he put himself on the loan (we are not on the loan or title of the condo) in order to get the funding from the bank to purchase.Here we are 6 years later and we’re expecting our first child and looking to move into something a bit bigger.

Your buddies can still room with you if you get a 3-4 bedroom unit but if it goes south you still have the other rental income to foot the bills.The beautiful thing is if you find the right property your income doesn’t even matter.
