Hi I just learned a day ago that my rental house burned down (see photos) I am looking for tips for when calling the insurance company from those that have dealt with home owners insurance fire claims or have insurance industry work experience, ( I have dealt with an auto insurance claim and it was a real struggle) Thanks

It's not their fault the lights are burned out or roofs are leaking.I think your expectations should have been higher when prepping the house for a new tenant.

As long as things don't get screwy for the banks like it did in the last housing bubble, most banks don't mind carrying the assets on their balance sheets...although every bank has it's own tolerance for risk on this after having been burned in 08 and 09.
