I've been talking with some subcontractors locally, trying to get an idea of typical common construction/repair costs. I'm hoping all our Texas Members who hire out will contribute.

HVAC : $1,400/ton replacement including attic ducting

Here is some quick ones off the top of my head..

$1 / sq ft for painting (double if you're priming) (no materials)
$1 / sq ft for carpet install & old carpet haul off (materials)
$3 / sq ft for tile demo, install (no materials)
$400 tub / shower tile surround (no materials)
$25 / sq ft for granite demo, install (materials & labor)
$35 per light fixture (resell grade)
$100 per ceiling fan (resell grade)
$16 avg. per blind - aluminum
$42 avg. per blind - 2" faux wood
$.70c / sq ft 18" tile
$150 tub (no labor)
$1.75 hard wood floor refinish (materials & labor)
$275 per home inspection
$50 per window pane replaced (standard size)
