This savings amounts to approximately 1.5 million acre-feet of water over the next nine months, or nearly as much as is currently in Lake Oroville.To save more water now, the order will also:-Replace 50 million square feet of lawns throughout the state with drought tolerant landscaping in partnership with local governments;-Direct the creation of a temporary, statewide consumer rebate program to replace old appliances with more water and energy efficient models;-Require campuses, golf courses, cemeteries and other large landscapes to make significant cuts in water use; and-Prohibit new homes and developments from irrigating with potable water unless water-efficient drip irrigation systems are used, and ban watering of ornamental grass on public street medians.

So, based on my personal financial situation, goals and tolerance, I would stop contributing to my 401k completely, but only if I was highly confident the $12,700 take home cash would be able to at least offset the lost benefit of $10,710 within one year which means I would need an 84% ROI.Thanks for starting this thread, as it forced me to run the actual numbers and make an informed decision on how I want to handle my 401k contributions going forward.

4 things may happen.1) He sobers up and continues on as he is.2) He goes to prison and you have to deal with that.3) He has an accident and he/someone gets hurt and he can't live there anymore.4) Nothing and he continues living like he is.You have to decide what your tolerance level is.I would talk to him and put something in writing (after speaking to an attorney) about breaking of a moral or societal clause if you have one.
