And id assume (since they are an investor) they likely arent going to sell something that works for them.Im probably overthinking this, but i would assume the deals come from an older investor who is nearing retirement and wants less headaches, divorce, etc.

Both tanked (one was residential and one commercial), and they were so illiquid that when it came time to access their money in retirement, they couldn't get to it and had to sell at a dutch action (taking a huge capital loss).
