Attempted to rehab house to turn into rental.

BTW if the property doesn't work as a rental than it doesn't work as a lease option either.

We had someone get a ticket and pulled the carts for the rentals, probably cost us between 5-10% of total revenue but it was more important for us to keep our carts than not have them for an extended period.$2 mm house or not you will have headaches with carts regardless and in our experience it's just not worth the hassle.my recommendation is work a deal with a local place you can refer them to and get a small referral fee from.

You can rent long term, but short term rentals would be hit or miss. do some homework on that market.

Some background I am retired and sold down some of my highly appreciated rental business assets in early 2024 and I will have around 1/2 Mill Capital gains for 2024 taxes.

Hey Jerell, I moved to Columbus a few years ago (from Portland, Oregon which was super expensive) to become a full time real estate investor, and ever since, I've completed quite a lot of BRRRRs, flips, and own a successful rental portfolio here in Columbus Ohio.

I thought after a year of being in my primary with a VA loan I could qualify for another VA and buy another primary and keep the other mortgage as a rental.

Home Paid in Full and will become a long-term rental.

I'm looking to find a builder to potentially build a duplex on the parcel as a rental investment.
