Investing in Puerto Rico

Hey there fam, I have a couple of duplexes in upstate NY but i work in NYC. I have family in puerto rico and I go there almost  every year since I was a kid. My dream has always been to live in puerto rico and have a place here in NY. I recently found a duplex in puerto rico that I can house hack but I'm just worried about the economic situation in puerto rico. the house is in a small town of Coamo not the metro area.

should I take this risk of investing in Puerto Rico?

I think PR is an amazing long term investment opportunity but you have to be patient. I am not familiar with the town you mention. I would spend a bit more for a better location. It will be worth it in the end! Hope it helped.
