Once I purchased it I got to see all of the window sills were chewed on and scratched up-it was a room that their pets were kept in.

new kitchen and both bathrooms 10k maybe depending on finishes. new windows,  electrical and plumbing will need some work nothing major. i will do a new garage tear down and replace.   

I ended up looking at properties in Huntsville Alabama and found a duplex that caught my eye for $149500 with one unit needing work in the kitchen and the bathroom and another unit needing a fridge and a stove as far as I can see.

They won’t be expecting the same money as their neighbors with the shiny new kitchen and fresh paint.

., and it has a separate mother in law/studio with kitchen, laundry & garage that will rent for $500-700/ mo while I rehab it.. much appreciated, 

Is it worth it to cash out refi the house to pay for siding and help pay for windows?

Hi all,Hoping to get some guidance on dealing with a contractor that completely a kitchen remodel for me last year.

If you were able to go up to the window you should be able to check out the foundation (not you but an expert). 

My capex budget includes roof  year 25 life span, floors 10 year life span, appliances and hot water heater 12 year life span, hvac 20 year life span, bath and kitchen remodel 20 year life span.

It just needs small things like cleaning, touchup paint, cleaning gutters, fixing a window, moving a stair railing.
