Nothing to absorb or soak up the loss from other successful deals and trying to steer your ship around all the mines and now knowing you are the motivated seller as the blood drips into the water and the sharks have gathered for the feeding frenzy.

Inspect for signs of animals, like pet feed, and if you are not sure simply keep an eye on the place at random times of the day.

It seems like you have an abundance of nosy neighbors to feed you all the information you need if you so desire.

And they will also feed the feral cats in the area, and let them inside.  

Go to the inner-city slums and offer to move someone to another state, house them, feed them, and provide them a job for three months so they can get on the path of success.
