I still am not sure if I do them well or not but I have been in the business for 13yrs and have a pretty good idea of values in the area - so once I see the house and take photos I have a general idea of the price range I should be valuating around- Don't waste your time buying the info on line most of it is really vauge

Unfortunately, they no longer had interest in selling to me... and well I know that the competition is fierce out there, so Im wondering what is the best way to actually find homeowners and keep them.Is direct mail a waste of time?

I have read Preston's e-book and even though it's overpriced imo( i got it for free) it has some solid info in it...now if only wholesaling was as easy as he makes it out to be...lol

As to the other post to call and get a comp check, most appraisers will do this for there good clients few will give you the time of day if you just call at random looking to waste there time.

Also if we have any bad ideas or you think we are wasting our time let us know.

I do that.I have several other business interests, although I realized recently that I was spread to thin and recently divested some of those interests to get more focused.I recently have dabbled a little in the FOREX area with some solid success.
