Interview a couple agents/contractors/lenders/others and see who you trust, who's responsive, and who you can see yourself working with long-term. 

Regardless of how you find them, try to interview at least three managers.1.

Interview and find one that would be willing to run to the house for a lockout or something small and they can make sure supplies are stocked, report any damage etc.
