It seems to me that the majority of people who rent to pet owners do avoid the major damage if they are doing their own due diligence when it comes to screening properly, making your properties as pet proof as possible, quarterly or at least bi-yearly inspections, etc.

Ask the vet to include you on their reminder to get shots list but keep track of it yourself as well.Establish inspection schedules.

If I get the permit on 4/23 and the work is done in 1 day and inspected the next day, I'm looking at 11-12 total days I need to pay for them to stay in a hotel or AirBNB.

I'm sure there are others who would simply take it into consideration along with everything else.As for un-inspected work like that, the ultimate buyer would most likely have to get it inspected by the county.
