AND we told them it was okay to keep their cat, even though we were only allowing dogs (cat allergies), so I feel like this is pushing it.If we take chances with a stranger, there is no guarantee that they won't just smoke away from the unit and we won't know if they'll take care of the unit as well as our friends.I say no; husband doesn't care, but will back up whatever I decide.

We also tell the guests the downsides of the listing up front e.g. stairs to entrance, low ceilings, dog onsite so if you get a complaint you can petition AirBNB to remove it but it gives them nothing to complain about because they have already been forewarned.

a lot of good stuff here, bottom line is you hold the power, use it against the tenant (in a positive helpful way) to redirect her behavior, if that doesnt work continue with sec8 violations and eviction process

It works for us because we didn't want to store things or bring them here, they care for the ancient dog, we have a home base when we visit the U.S., etc.
