Whether it's Whole Life or Universal Life, using it as a Cash Value play depends on how it's designed... which can be extremely advantageous.I also own an administration company for 401ks and use LIRPs (Life Insurance Retirement Plans) or Deferred Compensation Plans quite a bit as an alternative.
