That's not to say that a person should get attached to any one place or property in particular - if the numbers don't work then they don't work - but I think that there's still a lot to be said for gut feelings.

I've read numerous books and rarely have come across any information relating to section 8 housing (and even those snippets haven't been terribly helpful or accurate).

Any non-HOA areas it might be possible, but you might need a multifamily lot to do it.
