I was a fruit and vegetable farmer for 20 years and decided to partner up with a friend of mine and start a construction company.

Also, Puget Sound weather means vegetation grows like crazy relative to dryer climates like SD, for example.

If you remove these foods you will have a diet of mostly vegetables, fruit, and meat.   

Look at all Cal-Fire yards & their a perfect picture of vegetation management, the rest of the forest not so much.

Regarding inflation... actually only vegetable and salad still has no inflation.while the Korean BBQ joint that I usually visited, raise the price from $22 to $39 just like that.

But there's an obstacle, even a veil, between an understanding of what the life of a versatile residential handyman in 2020 is like and the lives of academics and people who for one reason or another never touch this kind of work.Would I call fixing up houses and DIY landlording a passion?

It's just very versatile.

I know someone who thinks it's great the meat producers will stay open because he finds fruits and vegetables "gross".  

I will not disregard any niche though because I would like to have some versatility in my investment strategies. 

Which reminds me, I have a couple trees that need to go in my rentals.Also, you live in (western) WA - lol - I live in WI - we both know there is no real need for more vegetation!!!
